A genuine feeling of love. Of being loved. That feeling that comes with happy tears. That feeling of reassurance. A validation of your existence. That feeling that makes you feel good. As a person. Feeling and knowing that you did something right.
I felt loved. At a party in The Fort.
I felt loved when my former boss nearly burst into tears when I arrived at her birthday party. When she hugged me really tightly.
When I saw the thrilled looks in the faces of my former colleagues from Samsung.
With every hug, and every how-are-you and I-missed-you that I received.

When we all danced and sang along to Hanson’s Mmmbop, or Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass.

It felt like it was my party. But not really. The night was for my former boss from whom I have learned a lot. From multitasking efficiently, to being organized, and dealing with different types of personalities properly, among others.

So, when was the last time that you felt you were loved?
