Post with 10 notes
It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. If you know what I mean.
The job perks are sometimes enough compensation for the long hours of work, and the deadly deadlines that you have to endure. Apart from your big ass salary, it can be your only driving force to stay sane. But for someone who hasn’t even completed a week yet in his new job, you may call it sheer luck.

Last Tuesday (October 25, 2011), just hours before the Black Eyed Peas concert at the SM MOA concert grounds, two VIP tickets arrived at our department. We have to cover the event. Dan will write about it, while my task, other than to watch and party with BEP live, was to take pictures. It’s a tough job, bro, and unfortunately, I was assigned to do it.

I’m not exactly a BEP fan. In fact, if their songs aren’t regularly played anywhere, I wouldn’t know any. But it’s a VIP ticket, and a VIP ticket is a VIP ticket. You just have to be thankful and happy for it. Bro, I tell ya. It’s not everyday that you get VIP tickets for free. So, thou shalt not complainteth.

It’s good to know that there are too many very important people in the country. The VIP section was crowded, in a way that when I move a bit forward, my crotch would be in touch with someone else’s behind, and if I move a little bit backwards, I’d feel sombody else’s boobs. And on top of the very important people, are the Super and Very Important People. Or is that what SVIP means? Kidding!

All throughout the concert, I had troubles calling, and sending and receiving text messages with my Globe mobile phone. I have also experienced this at the Araneta coliseum for the UAAP Cheerdance Competition. I don’t know. But it’s such a buzzkill.

Apl de Ap introduced the new Smart Logo, which is so quirky, playful, young and hip. Compared to the old logo that’s too corporate and business-like, not to mention, boring, it’s fairly easily likable.

The concert was fun enough for me to dance like a rockstar wearing leather shoes, long sleeves polo, and slacks. Very appropriate, yes?

Oh, and did you know that Apl de Ap is more badass than it sounds. It means Allen Pineda Lindo from Angeles, Pampanga. I thought it was very smart. And hi, my name is Pb de Ac (Pau Bautista from Antipolo City)!
